sshorrock150Steve Shorrock is a systems ergonomist with a background in practice and research in industry, academia and Government, in Europe and Australia. He has led large-scale human factors and system safety projects and programmes, and has a particular interest in outreach, stakeholder participation and influence.

His recent roles at EUROCONTROL have involved leading the European safety culture programme and encouraging systems thinking and humanistic thinking, having co-written a number of White Papers. Steve is also Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the School of Aviation, University of New South Wales. He is the co-editor of Human Factors and Ergonomics in Practice (Ashgate, in prep), in which practitioners discuss some of the realities of practice. See www.humanisticsystems.com
